Get It Done

You stare at the pen suspended above the paper.
You lower it slowly, what was the question anyway?
Was this suppose to be typed?

Fingers hover over the keyboard.
Eyes drift closed before snapping open.
You have to do the work.

Fingers drum on the desk.
You fidget in your seat.
Focus.

Tired eyes bore into the screen.
The bright light from the blank document glares back.
You can not write.

Head clutched in hands you let out a sigh.
You need to finish your assignment.
Teeth grind, concentrate.
